What to see in Vila-seca?

Vila-seca is a town, located in the Tarragonès region, in the centre of Costa Dorada, with approximately 23,000 inhabitants. Until the eighties, it was known as Vilaseca de Solcina and later became Vila-seca and Salou. It is a town that stands out as a family tourism destination by the sea. Given that it is made up of 3 population centres, one of them, La Pineda, offers visitors 2.5 kilometres of beach.

During the holidays, families accompanied by their children can enjoy quality leisure activities and Mediterranean cuisine.

Vila-seca has an extensive architectural heritage. A visit to the castle, whose origins date back to the 12th century, is a must. Next to it is the Celler Noucentista de la Cooperativa Agrícola, whose building was designed by the architect Pere Doménech Roura, son of the modernist Lluis Doménech. At the end of the 20th century, its activity came to an end and the building now belongs to Vila-Seca town council for cultural projects.

On the way to La Pineda beach we come across PortAventura World, which forms part of the skyline of Costa Dorada. There you can enjoy the popular Dragon Khan loops and a host of shows for all the family, as well as a real experience of adrenaline and fun in Ferrari Land.

On the beach of La Pineda, you will be able to enjoy an excellent paella and spend a day at the Aquopolis water park. Play golf and play the holes between water and trees strategically located in La Pineda, cycle routes, visit the Sèquia Major: a wetland of 17.3 hectares in which unique animals and plant communities coexist.
