Sabor Salou, a gastronomic party by the sea

Sabor Salou is the most established event in this coastal town, which welcomes thousands of visitors every year in a single weekend. This year, it is held from the 3rd to the 5th of May, in an idyllic setting in Salou, its Passeig Jaume I, just a few metres from the Mediterranean Sea.

If you visit the tourist town during these days, you can’t miss this magnificent gastronomic experience, where you can taste the best dishes from Salou’s restaurants, paired with excellent cava and wines, as well as craft beers

All the products you’ll find are local and of high quality, highlighting local food. Also present will be the designations of origin (D.O.) of wine, cava and oil from the Catalan territory, with an incalculable oenological wealth.

In addition to the gastronomic proposals, the days will be enlivened by the music of DJs, shows, performances and live music, which will make you enjoy your stay to the maximum, during the day and at night.

Also, if you are travelling with the youngest members of the family, this event is suitable for the whole family. With a wide range of children’s workshops and activities, where kids can have a great time, trying their hand at being chefs, making pizzas, among many other initiatives. Also, throughout the weekend, there will be popular proposals, such as a fideuá for all attendees, wine tastings and show cookings, among many others.

It should be noted that Sabor Salou has a long background in the history of the municipality, with more than 10 years of editions, since 2011. From the first moment, it was a success, becoming one of the most popular gastronomic events on Costa Dorada.

This May, the Bluefish Days will be launched, an initiative that will allow you to taste this local product of excellent quality. From the 14th to the 30th of June, we will once again see the Gastrotour, a tapas (snacks) route through the town’s restaurants, eagerly awaited by the people of Salou

After the summer, in October and November, the Squid Gastronomic Days, a classic event on Salou’s calendar, will be held to highlight one of the town’s star products, the squid. This event coincides with the traditional Squid Festival, a fishing competition that revolves around this mollusc.

On Halloween, Passeig Jaume I will once again be the setting for another of the most popular gastronomic events of the year, the Salouweeen Street, a great festival which this year celebrates its third edition, and which combines gastronomy and oenology, together with music and a good atmosphere. An excellent proposal to enjoy the most terrifying nights of the year, during a whole weekend, from the 1st to the 3rd of November.

Finally, the gastronomic calendar will close with the Christmas Vermouths, from the 5th to the 22nd of December. This is the new proposal for 2024, which will offer some very special aperitifs to welcome Christmas.

Also, if you visit the tourism capital of Costa Dorada at any time of the year, you can’t miss Tasta Salou, an event that takes place every Thursday, with unique tastings that vary every week.
