A kind gesture, a compliment, a good conversation, a kind act or a funny joke are just some of the things that can bring a smile to your face. Whether it is a shy smile or a smile from ear to ear, it can produce a feeling, in oneself or in another person, of joy and peace of mind.
Smiling is a unique gesture for each person; it is also a universal gesture and symbol of gratitude and happiness, which helps us to connect with people from all over the world, whatever their culture or origin. Smiling also provides us with multiple benefits for our health and well-being, such as reducing our pain and stress levels, and improving our cardiovascular health and defences. It also makes us more sociable and leads to better personal and professional relationships.

Strolling along the Coastal Path in Salou
Disconnecting is a habit that, on many occasions, is not part of our daily routine. One of the most effective ways to do so is to get lost in nature, breathe fresh air and let your mind go blank. If you really want to disconnect, we suggest that, if you go to Costa Dorada, don’t miss the Coastal Path route that you will find in the coastal town of Salou.
This is a path up to 9 kilometres long, which goes down the entire coastline of the town, from Pilons to the lighthouse, located at Cap Salou. The route rises to 77 metres above sea level, from where you can enjoy unforgettable views.
Along the way, you will also discover the large number of viewpoints, currently made up of a total of 43, which are integrated into the beaches, coves and inlets of the Salou coastline. Along the way, you can also stroll through Playa Larga park, which covers up to 15,000 square metres, a space that has been naturalised with native vegetation.
Discovering Onyar Houses in Girona
One of the most characteristic images of Girona are the houses bathed by the river Onyar, which bear its name. They are buildings with picturesque colours, which give liveliness to this much-visited part of the city. They can be seen from any of the bridges that cross the river, such as Pont de les Peixateries Velles, built by the company of the famous architect Gustave Eiffel in 1877; Pont de Pedra, from 1856; Pont de Sant Agustí, from 1973; Pont d’en Gomez; and Pont de Sant Feliu, from 1995.
Onyar Houses were built during the 20th century. One of the most important is Casa Masó, the house where the architect Rafael Masó i Valentí was born. It is located at 29 Carrer Ballesteries, and is currently managed by Casa Masó Foundation. Let yourself be amazed by its modernist charm and take a guided tour of the interior.
