Unlimited fun in Platja d’Aro

Platja d’Aro is a perfect destination for families, with a wide variety of activities that ensure unlimited fun for everyone. For example, in this town you will find one of the most popular water parks on Costa Brava, Aquadiver, with a wide range of water attractions, from thrilling slides and rapids to play areas for the little ones.

Children can enjoy attractions such as the Mistery Bay, the Black Roll and the Tamy Tamy River, while parents can relax in the rest areas or pools, such as the Adventure Island and the Kahuna Wave, and dare to try the more adventurous attractions, such as Kamikazes, Waterfall and Aqua Rocket.

Another of the proposals we bring you is the Parc Aventura Costa Brava, for those who are looking for an outdoor experience in the middle of nature.

This adventure park, the largest in southern Europe, offers more than 1,500 metres of zip lines, suspension bridges and tree climbing, adapted to different levels of difficulty.

Children from the age of three can also take part in activities designed specifically for them, while teenagers and adults can challenge themselves on the highest and most exciting circuits. It’s a perfect opportunity to enjoy nature and adventure as a family

Pirate Boat Ride in Palamós

An unforgettable experience for children is a pirate boat ride in Palamós. This activity allows families to embark on a themed adventure along the coast of Palamós, sailing on a boat decorated like an authentic pirate galleon, known as Rafael.

During the trip, children can travel back in time and learn first-hand about the attack by the famous pirate Barbarossa on this coastal town. This tour, which lasts approximately 1.5 hours, combines fun and education, as children can learn about the history of pirates and sailing.

Remember that Shuttle2Sun offers shared transfer services and private transfer services, so you can get to Costa Brava, from Barcelona airport, Barcelona port and Girona airport. They are also available from Reus airport and Camp de Tarragona AVE train station.

Children’s workshops and activities on the beach

The beaches of Costa Brava are not only perfect for swimming and sunbathing, but also offer a variety of workshops and children’s activities. In Platja d’Aro, both Platja Gran and Platja Sant Pol de s’Agaró organise activities and workshops for children during the summer. These activities include arts and crafts, sand games, sports and entertainment.

Family Tourism Platja d'Aro, Tossa de Mar, Blanes, Palamós

Lloret de Mar also offers an extensive programme of children’s activities on its main beaches, Platja de Fenals and Platja de Lloret.

Children can take part in creative workshops, sports games and educational activities, all under the supervision of professional monitors. These beaches have all the necessary facilities for a pleasant family day out.

On the other hand, Platja del Centre in Blanes is another family beach that offers activities and workshops for children.

In addition to play areas and organised activities, the beach also has shaded areas and services such as showers and restaurants

Sa Riera Park, in Tossa de Mar, fun in nature

Sa Riera Park, in the coastal town of Tossa de Mar, is an ideal place to spend a fun afternoon with the family.

This 5-hectare space is noted for its Mediterranean vegetation and has a large children’s play area, picnic areas, sports courts and green spaces for running and playing.

During your visit, you can also discover monumental and centenary trees, such as the great Can Martí pine, some 300 years old, or the Buen Retiro oak

The Vall d’Aro Train

Another essential proposal if you are travelling with the youngest members of the family is to get on one of the small model trains that run through the park of the old Castell d’Aro railway station, on a circuit of up to 700 metres. You can also ride over a small iron bridge, also to scale, which passes over a pond.

Finally, if you visit Castell d’Aro, don’t miss the old station, which houses a small museum with the history of the railways, photographs and other interesting information, as well as the old train engine, which you can visit inside.
