How to get to PortAventura on Halloween from Barcelona Airport

One of the most terrifying events of the year all over the world comes to Costa Dorada, in one of the region’s theme parks par excellence, PortAventura World. If you’re a lover of fear, you can’t miss the experience offered by this internationally renowned venue to celebrate the arrival of All Hallows’ Eve, also known as Halloween, on the 31st of October.

From the 23rd of September to the 12th of November, you can enter the park to experience all the adrenaline of Halloween. The whole of PortAventura Park becomes a dark space, full of secrets and the most terrifying film characters, so that you can enjoy a unique and immersive experience that will take your breath away. In addition, the bars and restaurants are also themed, as well as the different worlds that make up the park.  

Passages of Terror  

PortAventura Park offers up to 5 different terror passages, adapted to suit all tastes. One of them is La isla maldita, which runs for more than 1,000 metres inside Caribe Aquatic Park. This passage is set on a Caribbean island, where you will meet more than 90 of the most terrifying pirates, which will make your hair stand on end. You’ll have to wait until it gets dark before you can enter.

Secondly, there is REC® Experience, the largest enclosed passageway in Europe, where you can enjoy the best scenes and characters from the films in REC® saga.   

The world of Mexico also hosts one of the passages, Apocalipsis Maya, which has prepared for you an immersive experience that will make you feel like an adventurer, escaping from the curses of the gods. 

Another one is La Muerte Viva, also in Mexico area, where you will travel to a Mexican hacienda during the Day of the Dead. During this activity, you will have to flee from the world of the dead, while dodging mummies, ghosts, and much more.   

In the Far West you’ll find the Horrock in Texas passage of terror, a party among the dead and ghosts, with music by MTV.  

Finally, for families, PortAventura Park has prepared, in China area, the first children’s Halloween attraction, Trick or Treat, where the youngest members of the family can enjoy a fun and terrifying experience with ghosts, witches, fairies and other magical beings.   

The most terrifying shows  

During your visit to PortAventura Park this Halloween, don’t miss out on the different shows that have been organised. The Gran Teatro Imperial hosts Halloween Forever, full of choreographed acrobatics.  

Other options are Vampires, in the Long Branch Saloon, located in Far West, in which humans and vampires will compete for victory, with humour, music, terror and much more; or Halloween Parade, a parade that takes place in Mediterrània, at the end of the day, with the participation of all the characters and artists that form part of the park.  

Also, Bang Bang Halloween, in the Stunt Show Theatre, a show for the whole family, with Dracula as one of the main characters; Horror en el Lago, a great show with fire, pyrotechnics and music, in Mediterrània lake; as well as another set in El Día de los Muertos, with the best dancers and a singer, live, in La Cantina, located in Mexico area.  

The youngest members of the family will also be able to enjoy a Halloween show with SésamoAventura characters, such as Count von Count.
