It is the right moment to strengthen the bonds that unite us as families, recognising their value as the fundamental nucleus of society and for our lives. The family brings us love, support and a sense of belonging. They are the place where we learn the values and norms that help us become responsible and respectful citizens. In an increasingly connected, yet fast-paced world, we remind you of the importance of devoting time and energy to nurturing strong and healthy relationships within our families.

In addition, today, there is a great and beautiful diversity of family structures around the world. Foster, single-parent, extended and same-sex families are just a few examples of how the traditional notion of family has evolved. The importance lies in the love, support and mutual care that exists between family members, beyond forms and structures.

Celebrating World Family Day does not require grand gestures. It can be as simple as spending time together, sharing a meal, outdoor activities, or just talking and listening to each other. The goal is to reconnect with our loved ones and remind them how much we value them. On the other hand, if you want to do something different on Costa Dorada, Costa Brava or Barcelona, we bring you a list of on how to celebrate World Family Day in an original way this weekend.
